It ain't what it used to be. 'Doesn't make my stomach turn when I drive by it though. That can't be said for Burger King. That’s true. Anything is better than BK. I hear this all the time. I’ve always thought BK had one of the better fast food burgers. From what I can see they are typically dirtier and poorly managed, but think there burger is better than whataburger’s.

I travel with a crew that can always agree on Whataburger (50,000-60,000 miles a year). We eat there at least 3-4 times a week.
We never have gotten bad food. And an order has never been wrong. But then we understand that this is not fine cuisine and that we need to keep it simple. New guys learn quick that if they want, no mustard, extra onions, light on the mayo, and no pickles, that this is a waste of time and effort. Order from the menu and deal with it.
We cover all of Texas, and Whataburger is the best sure thing in fast food burgers. The breakfast sausage, egg and cheese biscuit is good too. If an order has never been wrong, why the need to keep it simple? It is as much about time as it is right or wrong. Four burgers with no exceptions seems to be more efficient than four burgers with list of instructions.

I’m on the side of stomach turning when you smell Burger King, not a whataburger fan since some things changed after the change in ownership. Though a sweet and spicy bacon burger, add grilled jalapeños ain’t half bad.

Been a drastic drop in quality and service since the sale. Does anyone remember how good the Whatachicken sandwich was back in the 90s. It was a on full size hamburger bun, not a Whataburger Jr. bun like it is now. It was an actual large piece of chicken that hung off the bun, not a ground up mix of mystery chicken and cardboard.
I love Whataburger, but yes it now sucks.

Compared to the rest of the chains, they are still probably tops for me. However, the time it takes to get any order from them is horrible. If there is ever a car at the drive through, I keep on going.
