Folks,
In my state it's illegal to hunt at night with a rifle. Up to 24 caliber in the daylight is allowed but no rifles at night.
I purchased a Pulsar Digex C50 scope, as it's the only one rated for 12-gauge recoil. I've got an 1187 Special Field shotgun
using Hornady 3" BB shot.
I'm wondering if anyone uses a digital scope on their shotgun for night hunting predators?
I realize it's not going to be a wing shooters light rig, but I've got a tripod with a big swivel head "V" on top.
I'm coming up on 75 soon and this is my first shot at predators, what I don't have is a lot of seasons ahead of me!!
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Sapper Titan hunts hogs and occasional coons with a thermal on a shotgun, a Puslar, but I don't recall which one he has now. He may also take some coyotes.

Well, what about all of the people in YOUR state? You should speak with them.

Many here in Texas prefer AR pattern rifles for both hogs and coyotes if only for the many optics mounting choices. Shotguns certainly have their place, but mounting nv on them can be clunky.
