We got our first drop around Mason County last night. The acorns are very small but quit plentiful. Lots of competition for my deer feeders!

Small ones dropping here too - and seeing 'crunched' shells under the trees. Corn is starting to pile up under the feeders, and fewer deer/turkey pics on feeder gamecams lately . . . It's too early for the regular acorn drop - just been too dry on this place lately guess trees are stressing.

Dry, trees stressing but critters will hit what acorns are good. Trees in the yard are dropping their crop a few weeks early and it is a much smaller crop than I have seen here in 5 years at this house.

Wednesday or Thursday of last week there was a notable dropoff in headcount at the feeders. I am pretty sure acorns are the reason. Mills County.

Deer sightings are minimal at my place in Dickens!! Only a couple does with young fawns. Unfortunately I have no Oaks on my place and when the crop is substantial as it is this year it will be next month before we have any appreciable activity,

Here at Lake Graham in Young County we are having a great crop of acorns this year. I have about 15 oak trees and the ground has been covered for 3 weeks or so. There is no reason for any animals to go to feeders
some people like silver and gold I like brass and lead with a little powder in between

Lots of tiny ones on the ground in northwest Kimble County.

We've had a few little ones for this past month, looks like the trees here were holding back from the drought but they are really starting to pick up now.
