Bevos, the large bacon cheese burger. The chicken fried steak sandwich is great. also add onion rings.

There’s plenty to choose from in Vernon
Bevos is a great burger.
Lupes is good Mexican food.
Three hearts is on another level from Rusty spur but Rusty spur is still good
Don’t let the outside of Brown Cow fool you it’s also good.
Quanah has Dutches and Medicine mound cafe both a good but the Cafe isn’t always open.
Vernon and Quanah are almost the same distance from chillicothe.
Never been to a camping world. I prefer Dick's to be honest.

Recant, went to bevos this evening wife orders cheeseburger and I order chicken fried steak sandwich, we did not finish either one.onion rings were great finished those. This was second bad experience within a month. Something changed.

I drive DFW to Memphis or Estelline on 287 all the time. I'm paranoid about my rifles getting stolen and never and stop anywhere (Excluding P2, I can watch my truck) so I just hammer down to the lease. Sounds like I have been missing some good places.

Turquoise Cafe was a Great breakfast and coffee shop. Everything is scratch and the owner is nice to talk with. Highly recommend. Very popular with folks who travel through.
Rusty Spur was good. ate there twice, Had the strip steak one night and the ribeye tacos the other. Both were good. Recommend
Lupes Tex Mex, Meh. Had the chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce. Yuck, I may have just ordered the wrong item. Chips and hat sauce were great though.
Valley Pecans was a great place to kill time. Had the BLT which was Very good. They chop the bacon up into "crumbs". sounds weird but was very good. Like a tourist, I bought candied jalapenos, Peach Butter and some pepper jelly, assorted gourmet pecans and some toffee. Only tried the toffee so far and it is very good.
