I'd tend to say just over 3, maybe pushing 4 -- would love to see what he looks like in a non-drought year. Still looks "younger" from what I can see in pics. Nice buck regardless!

He really has a nice frame. Good looking buck. I think most of the others are close on age.

I agree with the above sentiments he is somewhere between 3.5-4.5yo. I see him a little younger but i think its due to the drought. He is no older than 4.5. But if you have some time, i might let him walk this year and see what he does next year.

I don't see 3.5 in that deer, at least 4.5 IMO. As he packs on weight pre-rut I'd expect that somewhat sagging back to look even moreso. So I'll go 4.5-5.5 as the old outlier here...

So from the first picture with the whole group is there a deer over 4.5. I had him at 4.5 which has been confirmed here. Just for context this is in Montauge County. I just have a hard seeing 3.5 out of him especially seeing him with the rest of the bucks that are quite a bit younger and smaller body wise than he is. Thanks for all of the input

Without any other angles, to me the oldest deer in the first pic looks like the deer just to the right if the deer you circled and originally asked about. That angle (hunch forward and facing cam) usually makes deer look older than they are though IMO because it makes their neck and face sag more than it otherwise would while hiding more of their body. For the deer you specified, I agree with others that he is either 3.5 or 4.5, I usually lean younger if i'm split over an age and don't have prior history helping me out. North Texas has some big bodied deer and there are some 3.5YOs on our place this year one would think are a lot older if I didn't know which deer they actually where.

@Double AC here are a couple pictures of the deer you reference up close. We have him as a target buck seeing that he just a slick 6 ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/09/full-56665-401281-860322065472497_100_3_08172023123942_hd_syfw0983.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/09/full-56665-401282-860322065472497_100_3_08172023124012_hd_syfw1064.jpg)
