So set it up tested it payed for the premium plan . All was (semi) good that evening as I was eager to set it out in the field it the next day . Next day I set it up leave and nothing all day and night when I check in the morning . Later that afternoon it just starts dumping pics backwards .so I go out there mess with it test it get it to send me a pic and leave . It hasn’t done chit or sent chit since that day . I’m [censored] livid . I don’t know if I need another sd card or do the firmware update or what . Think I’m going to smash it in little peices put it back in the box and and tell Amazon to suck it . Has anyone had these issues or fixed these issues before I just send it back ?

I think most any cell cam is going to take a little tweaking at first, or a learning curve for the operator at minimum.

I have four Spypoints, various models, all solar. Had to update firmware on one. Set them two years ago on my farm in Oklahoma to watch over the equipment, barns, the occasional sasquatch. Have had no issues other than a lizard on one and bird on another. Bonus is i never knew there were so many deer walking around the barns. I did have to turn the sensitivy down on one due to it picking up weeds when the wind was blowing, just normal tweaking stuff.

Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Flies on all of ‘em. Kinda like a woman, can’t live with em and can’t live without em.

I went through similar headaches with my new Spypoint last year. It would decide it wanted to quit sending pics. A couple times it was briefly resolved by driving to deer camp, turning it off, then turning it back on. Then it would send me all the pics that were stacked up on the memory card.
The blessing in disguise came in the form of a 3 inch rain. Again, no photos were being sent to my phone. Next time I was at deer camp, which was after a heavy rain, I opened up the camera and it, along with the built in factory solar charger, was full of rainwater.
Spypoint will tell you that their cameras are water resistant, not water proof.
Long story longer, the camera was still under warranty. Sent it to Spypoint and they sent me a new replacement. Which I promptly sold on Craigslist and used the money toward a second Moultrie Mobile Edge.

I've decided as whole game cams suck. It seems like it's about the individual camera rather than one brand. I've got 2 Spypoint Solars going on 3 years and they're great. Had another that was a POS. Lots of junky Stealthcams but got one cheap one that keeps ticking. Cuddebacks were always 50/50. Wildgame Innovations was always junk. Bushnell was ok. They're likely all made in the same factory in China anyway with someone's brand slapped on them.

I guess mine are the oddity but I have hardly any problem with my Spypoints. I've got 4 in the field right now and get pics every morning. I've got spotty cell service at the lease so I just have them deliver pics once a day around midnight. I don't use anything but their cam with the built-in solar panel and the lithium battery pack. I leave them out year round and have gone more than a year without touching some of them. Every once in a while one will stop sending pics but usually a turn off and turn back on fixes that. If that doesn't work, I'll usually download the latest firmware from the website and that usually get it working again. They are the only cell cam that I have ever used. I did have one that refused to work but that was after 3 or 4 years of faithful service.

The pictures can be delayed. We replaced all our cameras with Spartans. We have tried several different ones but these are the best.

We have had some issues getting them all going and it appears it all has to do with spotty service. I really like a lot about them but they havent been perfect. Cell service on one is bad enough that we are putting a 15' tall antenna on it this week and crossing fingers.
