Anything Remington or Beretta. The Benelli pump is reliable... the semi-autos, not so much. Worth the extra money.

buy a benelli pump and if you can't find one of those then i would buy a benelli pump and last but not least you should look for a benelli pump.

I have a buddy that just bought a brand new Benelli Vinci and it won't cycle shells. The gentleman at the local gun shop said he has already sent 4 back with the same issue. Benelli promised to fix them... but it's supposed to take 6-10 weeks. That's a good chunk of your season if you don't have another gun. He purchased a cheaper 870 to hold him over until he gets his new gun back.

I've got a Benelli M2, almost a year old, and never had any issues with it. Shot skeet, sporting clays, dove, ducks, etc... all kinds of shells gone through it. Never an issue.

Not ALL of them do. I know there's been threads on this before. One of them was within the last month.... also about the Vinci.
Do you read many of the firearm forums? (NOT advertising for another site(s)! ...Definitely worth reading up on them before making $$$$$ purchases.)

Most major grocery stores also carry plenty of magazines specifically covering rifles, shotguns, and pistols. This includes performances, prices, reliability, re-sale values, etc.
Very handy.

i have ran my beretta extrema over with a ford f-250 right over the action, (not purposely lol) and hasnt skipped a beat and that was a year ago. Cant go wrong with a beretta, or the ole 870. I will never buy anything other then beretta for the rest of my life.

I was going to argue with you and point out the REALLY funny part of YOUR statement. But, I'm going to agree with you instead and let the other posters read your "insight." You are correct. There is nothing reliable about a Remington. The 870's are worthless. As are the 1100s, 1187s, and 887s.

Personally, I have an 870 and could never hit anything with it and still can't. I had to borrow one on Sunday and I swear I took 25 shoots before I even hit a dove. Choke was wrong for 20 yard shots but still, I can't shoot it and it feels like a piece of heavy wood and not a gun IMO.
The only gun I'll ever hunt with if I have a choice is a Benelli SBE. Started hunting with it since 2003 and never had a single issue and can knock birds down 100% better than with an 870 for me.

i've had an sbe 2 for 3 years now and have spent A LOT of time in the woods with it and have never had a problem. haven't heard anything about the vincis. i'm always a little reluctant to buy anything when it first hits the market. seems like there is always some sort of kink that needs to be worked out.
all the guns mentioned are good guns. just a matter of personal preference and whatever you are comfortable with i think.

If your just getting started I would go with a Nova or look for a used Browning Gold. You might find a Gold for around 600.00. Enjoy and good luck

I've had ZERO problems with my Benelli Vinci at the range or in the field. Cycles through shells like a champ. Absolutely love it. Planned on buying a SBE until they announced the Vinci and decided to try it out. Great gun.
A buddy of mine just got the Nova also. Great gun. Can't go wrong with Benelli.

The 870 express works just like a Timex, takes a lickin' and keeps on kicken'. I have had it for 16 years and never missed a beat, until it went to the bottom of the lake for 6 months. I recovered it 6 months after that restored it and works like a charm. (Guy might pull up the post on this). While my 870 was at the bottom of the lake i bought a Nova to get me through. Had problems cycling shells and once my 870 was resurrected the Nova has never left the safe.
If you want something to reach out there look at differnt chokes tubes and pattern them.
It's not skybusting, if you make the shot.

Very handy. I don't agree that you should make a buying decision based upon anything other than gun spec's out of a magazine. There are very few magazines that will say something negative about a shotgun that was sent to them free to test. Most are also spending dollars advertising in the same mag. Obviously the Beretta's and Benelli's are great guns there are a ton of them out there. I bought a Winchester SX3 last year with intentions of busting some ducks with it. It isn't a blued finish but more of an armor coating like powder coat or something. I felt like in a wet environment it might not rust as easy if I don't get it oiled quickly. I mention it only because it hasn't been mentioned up to this point. 100% for the money a Nova is hard to beat.
Don't let your ears hear what your eyes didn't see, and don't let your mouth say what your heart doesn't feel As much as I hate to admit it, I do like my truck
