With only a couple days left in the early season I just found out there’s a 30-40 goose feed 1/4 mile from my house. If I were to get permission, is it at all possible to successfully hunt an open field feed with no decoys/calls?

Depends on available cover and size of the field.
If you can be where they want to be and can hide, you could possibly shoot a couple.
If it’s a big open field with little ability to conceal yourself, it could prove difficult.

100 acres of cut and plowed wheat, split by a N/S tree line. Field is pretty much just dirt and some scattered wheat/straw. They’ve come from two different roosts and landed in both fields so they’re hard to predict. And the lack of in-field cover would make an open hide difficult, especially without a layout.
Feels like a dozen decoys would help a ton, but I just don’t have the money or commitment to geese at this time.
