Although the Mayor is technically non partisan. He said he is switching parties to Republican. Don’t know how much he is all in. He sounds reasonable. I know he has been target of blm protests and has been at odds with other democrats.
He was a democrat in Texas house. Maybe just getting aligned for a US Senate run.

He just voted against the annual city budget due to it was the highest budget for the city ever and he didn’t know how the city couldn’t full fill the needs with what the budget already was. The times I have heard him he sounds real sharp and more of a conservative.

I like the guy- he's smart, understands the big picture, and wants what's best for the city as a whole. I was just telling a couple buddies that Johnson operated more like a Republican than a Democrat. It takes a lot of patience and conviction not to be bullied by the hard left as mayor of a big city.

He's local, went to Hillcrest Highschool, played football. He will be called an Uncle Tom for sure now cuz her grew up in North Dallas.

He is yester years Democrat which makes him a modern day Republican. I dont identify as either one because they are one in the same and both keep getting farther left every year.

He’s shown very republican values so nice taken office. His dad was former DPD Ana she has a great respect for us and goes to bay for us all the time. He also doesn’t not like the city council and challenges them on their BS every chance he gets
