Anybody have a recent Dove report for N. Texas?

I have a property near Pilot Point I have yet to scout, but when temps drop consistently into the 80's I will be making my way out there to sit on a couple ponds.

Hunted yesterday out west near Megargel. never fired a shot. Very very few birds even seen. I guess it's going to take a cold front to get some birds in or at least moving.

We finally got a chance to scout the Pilot Point property this afternoon and I saw two birds.

Spoke with the rancher that leases grass rights on the property who lives nearby and has other properties in the vicinity....said the birds have been almost non-existent since opening day.

Hopefully the pending cold fronts everyone is talking about will change things up.

The pastures are full of Woolly Croton....I was under the notion this plant is highly attractive for Dove and was thinking we should be covered up if they come thru.

The evening right before sunset has been great this week at the pond. I'm just south of texoma.
