If you've been following news in the NFA world right now I would recommend staying away from Dead Air. They're going through quite the wringer with the Sierra 5 baffles disintegrating and so they're seeing a massive wave of RMAs. They've basically nuked their online social media presence and are barely replying to customer inquiries.
If you aren't opposed to spending some money, TBAC is up there as the best. But surprisingly the Aero Lahar just had some data published by Pew Science and it is one of the best performers in terms of suppression. Seems like a great budget option. Links? Take your pick: https://www.google.com/search?q=dea...-us&client=safari#cobssid=s&ip=1Yeah, this is a pretty good summary. Just turning Sierra 5s into maracas left and right. And Dead Air knew about the problem as the cans were hitting the shelves and didn't issue a recall while people were waiting on their F4s. Kind of [censored], especially for a company that doesn't actually make their own suppressors and could instead pin the problem on KGM, their contracted mfg. So now you've got a bunch of guys who have waited 6 months just to have their baffles pulverized on the first range trip out, and they are understandably angry. So yeah, I'd avoid DA at this time. Maybe they'll rebound in a year. Aero Lahar still seems to be a stellar option for not so much money.

So with Dead Air not a good choice right now, what would be next best for a .30 cal for best sound suppression?

I'd still go with the Nomad L. Best rated by Pew Science out of the ones they've tested to date.

I’ve had great service from SilencerCo, Griffin Armament, and Bowers. I’d take some of the online ratings with a grain of salt, myself. Dimensions, weight, durability, warranty, customer service, and mounting system are all important factors; I don’t believe there’s any “best” suppressor, only the best for you.

I have several.....I'd go with Thunderbeast or Silencerco. My opinion Thunderbeast is the best out of all of them. Also, I know you said weight isn't a factor, but trust me, you want a lightweight one. I wouldn't go over 12-14 oz or so.

My first suppressor was a Dead Air Nomad LT. I thought it was great until i bought a TBAC Dominus. The nomad lt is quieter, but the build quality and customer service of TBAC is unmatched. The nomad lt was the inspiration(due to its quietness) for TBAC to build the quietest 30 cal suppressor available, the Magnus. From now on, its thunderbeast for me by a long shot.

The L and LT are quieter than the nomad ti, but the L doesn't meter "quite a bit quieter" than the LT.

I own a Nomad L and love it, I want a TBAC for future bolt use. Too many silencers, not enough money

I did a lot of research on 30 caliber suppressors, and decided to go with the CGS Hyperion K. It has super low backpressure, which is useful when used on semi-autos. It's lightweight. And it has very low first-round pop. Here's a good write-up on it. Pew Science tests all of the popular suppressors, so it's a good resource to use when trying to narrow down the field. https://pewscience.com/sound-signature-reviews-free/sss-6-28-cgs-hyperion-k-savage-308
