There's a lot of hunting products out there that are kinda gimmicky. What products do y'all think are a waste of money? Figured this could maybe help some folks save some money!

products that are worth the money would be a much, much shorter list.
Products that I use and believe in:
Clothing:
Kuiu
Firstlite
Vuni
Footwear
Kennetrek- Heavy Duty Boots for Serious Hunting
Irish Setter - Fine for typical light duty Texas Hunting
Chippewa Boots - Great snake boots but good for everyday ranch wear in brush terrain
Archery
Mathews and Elite Bows
Black Eagle and Gold Tip Arrows...I shoot Rampage and Pierce
Grim Reaper Broadheads
Wasp Broadheads
Slick Trick Broadheads
Optics
Vortex Bino's and Rangefinders....their scopes leave alot to be desired
Leupold Scopes
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Pretty funny, first guy says expensive clothing and second guy names all his expensive clothing. lol Well, "expensive camo" isn't a very specific category. But, "expensive camo" can mean the difference between being comfortable or having to throw in the towel due to weather conditions..

Well, I'll try this again, keeps timing out.
Rocks, blocks, scents and powders.
Camo, I'm in a box most of the time. Cheap Walmart flannel lined khakis for me.

Is the Butt out a gimmick? Never tried one... When I was stationed in VA I had a buddy that swore by it. I use the gutless method and piece them down where they hit the ground so I have never used one.

Cheap optics. Might as well just flush your money. X2 In 1991 I bought a pair of 8X30 Swarovski for $400.00 (was a lot of money in the day) one of the best moves I've made. I use them every day looking at deer/critters out back.

Is the Butt out a gimmick? Never tried one... About a decade ago, I bought one for my BIL as a gag gift. We all had a laugh at Christmas and I didn't think about it again. The following year, 2nd weekend in November, he calls me and says "that butt out is the best thing ever!" Huh? Long story short, I now carry one in the truck and have one sitting at the cleaning station at the ranch too. They're great if you are gutting a deer.

Pretty funny, first guy says expensive clothing and second guy names all his expensive clothing. lol Completely understandable. It’s why they make both ford and Chevy. But, yes, pretty funny being first rattle outa the box…

Great subject today! My biggest beef, and you could have a whole thread about this is, Cotton clothing for camo wear! Over the 50+ years of me hunting i cant tell you how many times setting in a tree sweating with 50/50 poly tee shirts, and being very uncomfortable!
100% cotton or nothing at all, or i stay back at the house! Simple, flat grey or beige or tan color tees for me, both long, short sleeve....
3 days and counting, dove opener here in central tx.....
