I was up before first light and was shocked to see a bit of rain in the immediate forecast. Sure enough, sun-up brought a light shower to accompany a coolish breeze out of the North. Not much, but certainly better than nothin'.

To celebrate, I fried up a pan of our family recipe pork sausage and cobbled together a pan of sourdough biscuits. Add an egg and some pepperjack cheese and I had a breakfast that'll last...and that's a good thing 'cause I'm headed for the barn!

Double-dipped in bad luck. Went to make brownies last night at 9:00, and we were out of eggs. Guess that screwed up breakfast this morning too!! Had gourmet Cheerios, with a sliced banana.

Beer and whiskey, 'cause you can't drink bacon!!

Oh, no! Running out of rooster bullets is never a good thing!

Mr. Bee, that looks utterly without peer or reproach! Makes the sourdough french toast and bacon I cooked this morning pale in comparison.
