Anybody know a Model 12, Expert/Repair guy in north Texas. The 12 will fire a shell; but you can’t eject it. The 20 will fire; but then some piece comes loose in the forearm. Had taken it to one supposed gunsmith; who says he fixed it 3 times, first time I shoot, same thing happens.

With your 12 make sure you aren’t using cheap shells with tin bases, they expand too much in the chamber.

Do not trifle in the affairs of dragons, for thou art crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

I’ve tried all the top rated shells. Brass only.

Ok when was the last time it was cleaned?
Also where the slide release button is back side of trigger guard with gun standing on butt and release pressed does the slide disengage? If not it might be gummed up and need cleaning.

The so called gunsmith cleaned them twice, I cleaned them also. I just think the repair is over his head. So, $250 later, I’m exactly where I started.

Did you stand gun on butt and press the slide release, did the forearm begin to slide down?

Ok that's your problem. It's not releasing the slide once fired. I have 2 that were doing this and took them to an old (at least 80) Gunsmith west of Whitsboro and he fixed me up.
I don't know what he did but it's fixed. confused2
