Next door neighbor came over this morning and wanted a bit of help. Seems that a half grown raccoon had gotten his leg wedged between 2 tree limbs. Got my 6' bar out and a pair of leather gloves. Finally got hold of him/her around the neck and shoulders. The neighbor pried the limbs apart slightly, his wife used a screw driver to help lift the leg out and I pulled him/her up. Success. Took him to a big Oak nearby and placed him there. A few minutes later it climbed down and ran across the yard. So I guess no damage was done to the leg. He made quite a mess on the tree.

Cool, good job!

I saw a friend of mine put his thumb and finger in a half groan ones ears and pull it out of a hole. Completely paralyzed the animal. Try it the next time your neighbor calls... grin

I was more concerned about controlling those teeth. Kept on hand right under its jaw and the other behind the neck.
