Haven't had much time to work on it. Hoping that changes after this current job. Definitely need to check out the links dogcatcher posted. Haven't had time to even design it yet, been working on the RV a lot trying to get it ready to move should I have to motivate quickly.

Ok I have found a design and as it turns out it's actually called a Square Drop. Here's the general idea. Taller and squared off for more storage and functionality of the kitchen. Plans getting drawn up over the next couple of days then work begins.

Construction has begun! I decided on a 5' wide version of the square drop above so I had to raise the floor. Wound up switching over to the other trailer when I noticed it was fully welded and the A frame had been upgraded to square tubing. The frame was raised by 2x6 framing and then 2x flooring grid frame was milled and installed. Each open area in the photos below will be storage and each one will have it's own removable floor panel for access. The flooring panels will be Cypress tongue and groove flooring with Brazilian Walnut frames. The panels will sit down in the channels I routed on the 2x frame.

Looking good. I like the additional gusset's added. Should be very sturdy.

Well I am having to pass it on to an other builder. I just got permission to remodel a mobile home on my next door neighbor's property at virtually no cost. I will be moving into it after I finish it [my friend's grandson tore it up pretty good so it will take a few months of working after work and weekends]. Going to cost me less to do that than to finish out the square drop. I will keep my RV and we will all use it for a guest house [There is another other family, his son and his wife and son living on the 20 acres]. I also get to build a gun range!
