Like most others last year was terrible as far as the acorns were concerned. I have a large red oak in my back yard and this morning a large limb fell from the tree. To my surprise that broken limb was full of acorns. Had not noticed any on the ground earlier. Disappointing considering the acorn crop from last year. Thought maybe due to the lack of rain maybe acorns would not be too bad this year.

None to speak of in Hurst.

Agree Gary. I went to my place at Bowie yesterday. Hot and dry. Spring fed creek has stopped running and is dry where I crossed it. 1/4 acre pond is down 4 ft. 3 acre pond is down about 5 ft.

No way the oaks will set acorns this year.

On our place in Coryell county we have no acorns to speak of since 2019. The last 3 years there were only a very few off any tree. None of the big amounts you get every couple of years. Hoping it's better this year but don't see how it will be.

Deep East Texas

My Water Oaks are all full of acorns.

Not mature yet but they don't normally start dropping until October anyway.

Drought has been pretty bad here. I have a Spring fed branch on my property that I've never seen stop 'flowing' in the 35 years I've been on this property. But it has this year. Still have 'pools' of water but nothing flowing.

Headed to the lease in a couple of days, I`ll check and get back. Not many last year.
