Hey fellas

Well, I bought the boat a couple of months ago but just got around to putting a nice camo paint job on it. I did this all by myself with a stencil kit and some Krylon Camo Spray Paint. I just wanted to share my little project with some fellow hunters. The boat is a Weld-Craft 14 36 with a 25HP Yamaha.

I really like that you put a satellite dish in it, but, isn't that gonna distract you from keeping your eyes on the sky?

Is the dish for tv or is it like a sonar for ducks? haha Awesome job on the paint!

Of course it had the base coat of OD green. From that its a three stencil/ four layer process. The first layer was just some elongated black strips along the side in different directions to give it a shawdow effect. Afterward, you use the first stencil. Its some swatches and patches that I used brown paint to put on. The second stencil is the "tree bark" in which I used the black paint. The last stencil was the grass in which I used the khaki color.

It just a $30 stencil kit for terrain phantom that holds up great.

I got it from Terrain Phantom. They have several different kits. This one is the Ground Shadow kit and it ran about $28 bucks.

I volunteer to help fix up the toon. After the 12th of September. Just say the word and have imagination. !

Hunting off the toon could be the cure to fix the early drops by you know who.

Glad you posted the pics. I'm getting a new boat and need to do the same thing, so now I know where to get the stencils. Hope mine turns out as well as your's did. Great job.

The paint work only took about 4 hours or about one afternoon. The outside doesn't take long at all; its the inside that slows you down because of all the slops and angles. The Krylon Camo spray paint dries super quick and these stencils are great.
