When I lived in Georgia, kudzu was everywhere and dang hard to kill/contain. Just wondered if anyone planted it for cattle to graze on.

As a kid we used to go to Paragould Arkansas for a family reunion every year and I remember seeing mile after mile after mile of kudzu that had taken over the side of the roads and all the power lines. It seemed endless.

If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

Here in SW, OK, we have an invasive vine called "bitter melon" that does a good job of taking over fence rows. Anyone ever heard of that one? It must be related to kudzu because it's a fast spreader.

Beef Farmer in Mississippi did years ago and used for grazing and hay crop. He put it in a field that he disk around at least 2X a week in the growing season. Never had it anywhere else on his place. Left uncontrolled it goes crazy. Another one had it in trees in his pasture, as long as the cows were there it did not really spread but after he passed and the land was sold the stuff took over at least 5 acres
I have been fighting it on my place in Mississippi for 20+ years, brought in by the county with dirt on the side of the road. I had one big vine comeback this year that I had to get in and locate and cutoff at the base and treat the stump.

I killed some over the last 2 weeks moving on my place from the neighbors. Round up didn't faze it. Came back with Remedy and it knocked it out. Could be bitter melon but I don't care it's dying.

Yeah, it’s also called prairie melon. I picked one a few years ago that was growing on a fence line. Definitely bitter tasting.

You should only plant it next to the bamboo

I set out some fishpole bamboo this year. I'm interested to see what it does. Where I planted it spreading will not be an issue.
