Watching the radar and lightning maps, the area around and south and east of Lubbock has thunderstorms this morning. Post is about 80 miles from my house, but I can smell their rain on the morning air. What joy!

Just ran to the post office, and looking to the northwest I could actually see precipitation falling up to Snyder. So near and yet so far!

Thunder woke me up during the night, and I could hear a little rain falling here. Rain gauge this morning only showed .05", just a tease. Not even enough to knock the dust down.
