Came across this from back in the nineties and boy did it bring back some good memories. Cut my real hunting teeth down in Bee County. Hunted there 14 years on some property along the Medio Creek. Good times with lots of Big Fun. I can't recall who would've taken the photo below. Started off with a homemade 14 foot tripod that wouldn't pass any safety regulation these days. An old buddy took pity on me gave it to me as I couldn't afford anything. A couple of years later, I bought the 4X4 Blynd on a fifteen foot tower. I was real proud of it. Me, a buddy and what seemed like 14,000 screws put that thing together and then lifted it in place. Thought I was the [censored] of the roost in that there rattle trap. I still have and use that knife scabbard. The Scrambler too.

Yeah, the new Jeep pickups don't come close to the je ne sais quoi a Scrambler had/has. Very well done on keeping it.

How long did that Blynd stay on that tower? Wind is that thing's nemesis. Still the best value in the deer blind market, if the cousin or whatever that bought 'em is keeping them going. I could put a couple of "single wides" to good use, but, as stated...the screws!

Yep Love the scrambler , had a 1977 cj5 . It wasn’t as good of a hunting vehicle as that scrambler.

The single wides manage the winds a lot better than the doubles, no doubt about that. It held up well until a tropical storm came through and pulled it down. I could back the Scrambler up to the blind, bring it down on to the roll bar with the help of only one other and move it wherever I wanted to. Had a single tie down to the middle - I really did good with that set up.

We hunted O'Brien land. Good people. Some of my buddies still there. The Wicker was on the west side of the creek.
