Man o' man, I'm in Heaven! Found an authentic old country German deli down by the Post Office, in my new town. Rivals anything I ever found in New Braunfels or Fredericksburg in the Hill Country. Amazing sausage selections, and so many other things in the store. Husband is German and the wife (and amazing pastry cook) is Romanian!! She drug me around the store by the elbow, and beamed when I ordered sausages. She proudly told me she just got her wild game license, and to bring her lots of deer and elk meat to process for me! smile

Tonight was smoked Bratwurst's, with kraut and pickled red onions. Wife only wanted the last of the leftover Cordon Bleu. Had to have some fried potatoes tho. A bag of Lays potato chips is almost $5 anymore, and I can buy 50# boxes of spuds for twenty bucks. No brainer here, fry your own!!! smile

Romanian peaches for dessert; they are pastry half shells, cooked in 2 hollow halves, then filled with candied peaches. Rolled with fresh raspberry jam and sugar, and topped with a sprig of mint!!! Amazing.

Wife is drooling over the PC looking at this post. Man we could hurt ourselves with a place like that close by. Do they ship?

Looks delicious. European delis are my favorite.

Yeah, those peaches look to be just stunning.
Bet one of those sausages would go very well with some currywurst sauce.

Haven't been there in a while
Used to make Germanfest every year, and
go try to break more bones every weekend
riding dirt bikes

Is that the same place with the fresh baked
hub cap cinnamon rolls ?
One of those places had the best baked
goods you could put in your mouth
