Watching Chimp Empire on Nutflix and drinking whiskey got me thinking… How do they get all this video? I doubt he chimps willingly let hims with camera in there to film them.

The chimps tolerate and mostly ignore them as long as they keep a reasonable distance. One of the guys that makes the show was on JRE, recently, and explained how it works.

I started watching that. It was interesting, but just more than I need to know about their social structure. I do admire the dedication and artistry of wildlife photographers such as them though. They gotta be tough.

I’ve always wondered how nature shows get the footage as well. It’s crazy.

The guy that got those snow leopard pics, years ago, before trail cameras and all the high tech, sitting in a rock blind for weeks, looking at absolutely nothing.
