I want to do DEF delete on my F250
has 185K miles

This will probaly need to be answered via PM as shops that are doing this could get huge fines if caught. The guy that did mine is currently in litigation with the EPA and TCEQ.

They are hammering these guys right now. Huge fines and some to the point of bankrupting folks...EPA is doing undercover stuff on this too. If you don't already know someone, I bet you won't find anyone.

I knew a guy but he's slammed the brakes on all that stuff about 2 years ago because EPA was getting silly.

If you have to ask, you don’t need one.

It's also a Federal crime that is being policed strongly now. It doesn't give you more power, that comes from the tuning. It merely saves hassle and thousands in repairs and DEF purchases.

The EPA should be disbanded for the crimes they have committed when it comes to DEF and ethanol in fuel. It's all BS.

Hard part is getting the tune to get rid of it. The other stuff and parts are easy to come by.

...and the newest GM's are not tunable. Have to buy aftermarket modified computer. It'll set you back $10K on an L5P.

Big 3 have all turned into data collection companies now. As soon as you touch the ECM they are notified. Anyone want to take bets on when they start selling data to insurance companies on how you drive?

wait till 2026. by then, due to sleepy joe's infrastructure bill, all new vehicles will have alcohol detection devises, some vehicles by 2025. vehicles will be under monitor and, still in debate, will most likely be able to be shut down on command by someone sitting behind a desk like on star can do now. so yes, possibility is high.

As Thumper stated, if you are half a man and can turn wrenches you can do it yourself. Hell, my woman damn near did my 13 Cummins by herself. Unless you have experience with diesel vehicles, you might not know much about diesel exhaust fluid (DEF). This bright blue liquid is a mixture of roughly two-thirds deionized water and one-third urea. The color helps you distinguish it from gasoline or diesel fuel.

You add DEF to your vehicle as needed. It goes into a separate tank than the diesel fuel and runs through the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system. Diesel vehicles emit dangerous nitrogen oxide (NOx). DEF breaks down the NOx emissions into nitrogen and oxygen, elements commonly found in air.

The DEF you use must meet ISO 22241, which is an international standard that determines the quality of the product.
