I am sitting here watching the radar and trying to decide wether or not to go hunting in the mud.

How far up north are ya? My son came in from college last nite and we had a trip planned for the morning in Nome Texas. The guide called me yesterday and said the birds were none existent in the morning, but they have been shooting some good limits in the afternoon. Asked if we wanted to switch our trip to the afternoon, so we did. Guide said bring about 2 or 3 bxs of shells, hunters have been missing alot. I sure hope we do'nt fit that description. They are calling for 50% rain but I do'nt see nothing on the radar, yet. Hope you can get out there. Been looking forward to hunting with my son for a while.

lunatic i am in winnie and we have been killing more in the "afternoon" but they are flying early like 1 to 4 not sure about in nome but we are only 15 or so miles from there just a heads up try to get there early (i know i may be a little late with this info)

I went out to the LBJ national grasslands this morning. I saw a handful of birds.

Shot a limit in Runnels county this morning...

Just saw a few in Hood County this morning. Still beats the heck out of sleeping late though.

As luck would have it it rained right when we got there. We did'nt get set till about 4. Very few and in between. Had a great time sitting next to my son talking about his first 2 weeks in college. I'm sure some flew over us that we did'nt see. He shot one and I got one. Other hunters in our group did'nt even fire a shot.
