I've got a few hi brass Remington #4 that are 40+ yrs old and they still shoot fine. My dad had them and I wound up with them.

as long as they stay dry then they will be fine for many, many years.

i dont know about shot gun shell's but i had some factory 30 cal carbine that were 20 yrs old..a full box that stayed in my grandfathers bedroom..i took them out and 2 out of 10 fired.i threw them in a stock tank..i dont take chances on old stuff...
