Do Texas's whooping cranes migrate? I had two groups, totaling 3ish hundred birds over my house a few minutes ago. Big - BIG - white birds with black tipped wings. They were silent, so no sound to go off of. Definitely not Sandhills. Feel crazy wondering if they were TX's whooping cranes.

If not cranes, what else could they be?

Thanks

Yeah whooping cranes migrate down to the coast during the winter. You may have saw something else as they would be back further north by now.

It sounds like it was a couple of flocks of Pelicans. If it was over 300+ birds, I can GUARANTEE it was not Whooping Cranes because there isn't that many left.
