I’ve put off carrying as long as I can. Looking for suggestions for carry weapon and comfortable holster options. I don’t want big and bulky, I want something that’s relatively slim and easy to conceal. I’ve got several pistols, none I would want to carry everyday. Let’s hear it

sig 365XL

sig's website offers multiple holster options, I bought 3...pretty much covered it all minus a chest holster

I was a Glock guy until I found it, fits me perfect

I carried a full size handgun for two and a half decades because I needed to. These days I'm content with a Ruger LCP.

In the same boat. I've looked at several brands and models and keep coming back to the Springfield Hellcat Pro. The other day I shot a friend's 10mm, but I'd probably get a 9mm.

I edc my 43x. PM me your cell and I’ll send pics. My wife bought me a custom holder from Alpine saddlery for an anniversary present. Lots of good options. You should rent a few at a range that fit your hand and you’re comfortable using. I have an extra 43x if you need one.

My wife carries, and my FIL carried a sig p365. It's a fine pistol and shoots well for me, but, I prefer the p938. I like single stack 1911 style. Lately though, I've been carrying my ruger sp101 more often. Why? Because I am more accurate at distance with it. I know that the revolver lacks capacity, but if the first shot counts, I would rather have the revolver.
My holster choice is different depending on what I'm wearing. Either an el paso saddlry tortilla holster for OWB or DeSantis pro stealth for IWB.

I seem to be swapping between a lcp380 and a g43 as if late and it just depends on the concealment level needed.

I really like the sticky holsters.

I’ve gone through a bunch and finally settled on the g43x

Holsters are a whole different thing. It all depends on carry style and position. For a decent, cheap option, I like bravo concealment. Be prepared to go through 4-5 different holsters before you find one you really love.

Glock 43X is what I bought. Still need a holster.

I have put 120 rounds through it so far, with no complaints.

I've carried a Springfield XDS for ten years. The Glock 43X is almost exactly the same size, but holds 10 +1 of 9mm.

Gun wise all I can recommend is what I rotate.

Subcompact: Glock 43X MOS and Sig 365XL

Compact: Glock 19 in different configurations, Walther PDP, and Staccato C2.

I carry AIWB so the size difference isn’t really noticeable with a good belt and holster. If I’m dressed in a way that makes the weight of the gun matter, I carry the 43X or 365XL.

Belt is Kore and holster is Tenicor either Certum or Velo4. Also carry in a T1C Axis Elite sometimes. The sidecar adds size to it but the weight is so well distributed it’s very comfortable.

I feel like most common guns are reliable so pick your poison. Can’t express enough how important a good belt and holster are for me.

They are expensive these days, but the Dan Wesson single stack compact 9mm models are a nice compromise between comfort and capability. I really like my Valkyrie, which I bought before the run up on prices.

Jason get you a few Shield Arms mags and you'll up it to 15+1.

If I wanted a single stack slim gun this is what I'd carry. I've owned a 43x and I really liked it, but I just never carried it unless I had to wear slacks and button up shirt which was once every 2 months for a board meeting. I carry a Shadow Systems MR920 with Holosun 407c and an Inforce APL-c Light. All in a LAS Concealment kydex appendix holster.

Recommending which pistol for YOU, no one can select the right pistol that fits your hands. I recommend going to a gun range where you can hold and feel a large variety of pistols and get what you like. Once you figure that out, then determine which carry method you plan to use- IWB, shoulder, waist band, etc.

I'm a huge Glock fan. I carry a G23 daily in 40 cal pushing 110 grain Lehigh Extreme Defense at 1400+ fps. Those rounds are very NASTY. I carry in a Comp Tac MTAC holster. It's the most comfortable IWB holster I've found.

ive got a 43x with shield mags... my favorite holster was a crossbreed mini tuck but i apparently left it behind at a hotel a few weeks ago(i put my gun in a different holster to wear home that day). I just purchased a Vedder Pro Tuck holster as I've read lots of good things about them. Stil lwaiting for it to get here! If i don't like it, i'll go back to the crossbreed

Can you give some personal feedback on the Certum vs the Velo4? I have a Vedder for AIWB carry but it is not very comfortable. I am leaning towards the Certum but wanted to get your take on how the 2 compare. I carry a Sig P365XL. Thanks

The Certum can be carried anywhere while the velo is only for AIWB and has a pretty pronounced built in rounded wedge to drive the pistol grip in and at the same time not have any straight edges digging into you. I like the velo most on the 365xl actually.

They are about $100 a piece with shipping. You can DM me your address and I’ll mail both to you to try out if you want. You can just send them back after deciding.

Glock 48 with Shield Arms 15 round mags. Like KRoyal said, they are a must for the 43x/48. I carry owb covered by a shirt and normally have 1-2 spare mags with me.

Not to brag or anything. While carrying my P365 with the Wilson XL grip that I carry daily like it’s a part of me, shot two snakes this week at at least 20-25 feet while moving in the water first shot! It amazes me how accurate it is! I don’t consider myself that good of a shot. Not a big Sig guy. Shot one of my buddies years ago and it just works. I have an XL I have really never used as well. I want one of the new Macro’s without the comp. There are many great choices these days. That’s the great part of the times we live in. Try a few out, even the ones you might not consider. You never know.

Thought about this some. I generally keep a Judge in my pickup. I have no use for a semi. I don’t want to think about whether it is in battery or not. And, once upon a time, in the 1960’s, the I had to get my daily bread carrying a shooting iron. I don’t ever want to do that that again but don’t want to be a victim or a cowboy.
