Took advantage of the nice day to confirm some loads I created last year for a LaRue Stealth 16" barrel I bought. This load is a 55 grain Nosler BT with 26.8 grains of CFE-223, but my previous test was done with 55 Sierra Blitzkings.

I didn't get another .06 group, but I did get in the .1's so I'm calling it good.

Today's target

Looks great. What speed is that getting?

Are you going to pull those pistols, or whistle Dixie?

Good stuff !!

I always thought the 55gr was too light for the 1-8

I'll have to try some. I have a ton of 69gr matchkings though.

I think 1:8 is the best all-around rate for .224 bullets. I’ve shot up to 77 grains out of a 1:8 twist with great results.

Not sure. A similar load with the 16” barrel this one replaced got a little under 3100.
