Start out with the Work Sharp and finish on the Crock sticks to put on a smooth, keen edge. Adios, Gary

I can my field dressing with an Outdoor Edge replacement blade and a small T handle bone saw for sternum and pelvic bone.
An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

I have tried em all, crock sticks, whetstones, sharpening steel, work sharp, wart hog lansky system.......ad infinitum ad nauseum. These days I mostly use a replacement blade outdoor edge or havalon piranta. but for my edc pocket knife, I use a diamond hone.

Cheap carborundum stone. Gives a great edge if you know how to sharpen a knife. Been doing it for 40 years.

1" belt sander with belts from 100-2000 grit for the initial edge geometry. Rods after that. There's been a lot of knife tips ruined by a work sharp FYI.
