We have had my/our mutt for 7 1/2 years, if he were to some how wonder off, not sure how much of a reward i would offer but nowhere close to $2,000, maybe $500?

To what extent would you go to get your pet back if it went astray?

We have two of these roaming our neighborhood, betting one of them had kitty, kitty, kitty for breakfast or dinner.

If you know that there are some coyotes roaming your neighborhood why haven't you shot them? I live smack dab in the middle of town and I shoot them anytime I see them if the conditions for doing so are safe and I think I can get away with it.

From first hand observation I can tell you that most of the banners that are put up like that are to console children when the parents know that the animal is dead and that there is no hope of anyone ever collecting the reward.

A cat. "Last seen meandering..." Aren't they always doing that, when they're not lounging? grin

I suspect those are the street names.

For which part? The parents telling a white lie to console their children or me shooting coyotes whenever I can? I don't just shoot them, I've even killed one with a hammer before. I even bought a salvo suppressor so I could shoot them with a shotgun when I lived in Plano but since then I've switched to a suppressed 17 hmr.

How much are any of our pets worth, other than we care about them? That said, our cats are not for sale…well…depends on your price offer.

Or maybe you should go back through the past 10 years of things that I've posted where I've talked about the things that I bring up constantly. I seem to recall me discussing losing my cat and how I used to never kill coyotes but after they killed my kitty I've killed them every chance that I get and even go on dedicated hunts just to kill coyotes. Looking back on it I think my first post on this forum were about my escapades hunting coyotes in the middle of Plano.

Good clarification but I wasn't necessarily limiting that to just this thread....

'Had a customer tell me about his wife's cat that never paid him any attention until he saw it bouncing across the back yard...in a coyote's mouth. 'Guy shot the coyote. He said that cat told him Good Morning and Good Night every day after that.

My wife's cat never even looked at me until he sat and watched me beat an opossum to death with a stick. He was a lot more perky whenever I entered the room after that. 'Don't blame him for being stand-offish. When I came around he got kicked outa the waterbed.

You'll notice a common theme when I post. I only post about things that I have an opinion on, things I have first-hand knowledge on or know people that are involved in something like that and I'll bend your ear incessantly about politics. Everything else I just listen. Since we are on a forum that specializes in a specific theme and that theme is something I've been involved with my entire life I'm going to have a lot of stories regarding it. Something else to consider is that I until the past year have been a lifelong bachelor with a much higher than average income so I've got a bunch of things that are expensive Man toys and I've gone and done a bunch of weird stuff.

^^^^ If you're around me long enough you'll hear the same stories over and over. In recent years I've gotten pretty boring.

We are definitely short of cat lovers on here. I think most of ya’ll are dog lovers, but I just can’t go there. All the RV parks we’ve been in this week, there are folks walking their crotch sniffers and picking up handfuls of dog mess. That is not my style, but if that gives you joy, I’m happy for you.

Our place back in Texas is dog friendly, in that you just leave to dog mess where it drops. The family all had there dogs there at Easter. Dog mess everywhere. The cats dump in the litter boxes and then cover it up. That’s a bit more upscale than the dog approach.

Next holiday, when all the dogs are back, it’s gonna cost their owners 25 cents for every time their dog sniffs my crotch. I’ll get a big jar to hold the quarters.

The wife's boss had a full poodle that would jam his nose in your crotch and push up, like he was sizing you up. He found him floating in the pool, deadern' a doornail one day. That was one obnoxious dog. We keep ours from getting close to checking anyone out in that way.
