Ok so I have a 14.5 “ AR 15 barrel. If I build it will I have to pay for some kind of permit/stamp for it to be legal? It is over 16” with the muzzle brake/flash hider. So you guys in the know help an old man
some people like silver and gold
I like brass and lead with a little powder in between

Weld and pin the muzzle device and it will be legal if over 16, or else you’ll have to pay for a stamp if you want it as a rifle.

Either pay the $200 stamp or get the muzzle device pinned and welded.
It would probably be cheaper and faster just to get 16” barrel and put it on the gun instead.
