I’ve been working up a load for my new 7 prc and believe I’ve found what I’m looking for, sub MOA @ 200 yards but want to shoot out to 400 or 500 to create a cheat sheet for scope settings for that yardage, have a TX mule deer hunt booked this fall and trying to be ready, any one have a place to shoot that yardage around the hill county? Thanks in advance

Look on line lots of ballistics programs.
If you can provide the following information I'm sure some one on here can help.
1. Bullet weight 2. Bullet BC 3. Bullet Volocity 4. Scope Mounting Height 5. Sight-in Distance
With the above information you can create a drop chart.

The ballistic calculators will get you on paper in most cases. You still have to pull the trigger to get correct data.

Berger VLD X 175 gr Col 3.256 26” barrel 1-9 twist 61.0 gr H 1000. Don’t have crono but data suggest 2700 fps Zero @ 200 yards Leupold “Med” rings & bases G-1 BC 0.689 G-7 BC 0.347
Still would rather get the trigger time at those ranges

only one around central Texas that I know of was Best of the West just west of Liberty Hill but I believe it is now closed ... adjacent landowner complaints from what I heard.

Spend a day with JG, you’ll come out way ahead of just having some data.

Did you mean Hill County or Hill Country? If Hill country I would try this place https://www.rprrange.com/If Hill county then check out Axtell BBQ…yea they have a 700 yd range behind the restaurant. I would guess 2700 fps is close maybe slower at that powder charge. Data I have says your about 7gr under max so pretty mild load. Also a Berger VLD X is new to me…. What’s the X stand for?

I was able to shoot out to 500 last weekend at a private range with my gunsmith and was able get the information I was after other than velocity which wasn’t important to me at the time, now I’m considering BDC turrets and need that information to order , I appreciate everyone’s suggestions on ranges and offers to come shoot!
