My daughter, husband and one year old are going to Broken Bow. I've never been. What are some of the "can't miss" things to do and/or places to eat? Thanks.

Abendigo's is the only consistently "good" dinner food. Better have a reservation this time of year.

Mountain Fork Brewery has decent food (good pizza) and decent beer.

Beaver's Bend Brewery (on top of the hill) has the best beer. Probably some of my favorite beer from anywhere. Pretty good hot dogs there too.

Everything else food wise is very hit or miss. Probably getting into the time of year where it's extremely crowded.

It's not a super one year old kid friendly place IMO. More for kids a bit older - hiking, lake, floating the river, petting zoo, etc etc.

Seriously cook out, restaurants are average at best. Hike some of the trails in the park, drive through the park in the AM to see wildlife. If you are a golfer there is a great course a little north of hochatown that is scenic. If you want a flat hike go to the far east end of Acorn Campground there is a trail beside Mountain Fork River that is 3 miles total out and back. If you fly fish the river should be recently stocked. If you want to get away from the people find road 5300 north of hochatown and head west 10 miles to the glover river you will be the only one there. Enjoy

Not sure if you post on TFF, but Happykamper over there owns Shuck Me and has a location there. I have never eaten there, but my next trip there I will...

For souvenirs of a practical nature,
Bruton’s Outdoors North.
My favorite place in Hochatown.

Our friends opened a rental shop offering electric powered surfboards with hydrofoils.

Super cool and unique way to get on the lake.

It started out on par with his DFW locations - which are good - but it quickly declined. I’ve given it more chances than I should since it’s a TFF member, but it’s below average seafood. If you’re expecting the same as his DFW locations you will be disappointed.
