Fired up some coals and roasted a couple of dry-brined Cornish game hens for dinner yesterday in the good old Lodge No. 12. Nine briquets under and 18 on top and the birds were done in 45 minutes. Next time I will go a little hotter in hopes of crisper skin, but the flavor was excellent.
