I sent in my application last Thursday by fax. They've received it. I'm wondering what I'm to do in the mean time. I'm guessing I won't get it by in the morning...anyone know?

If they have processed it, all you need is your drivers license to get a new one. Call TPWD. They may give you a license number to give to a game warden if you are checked. My wife was given a number when she bought her fishing license on-line. Said it would be sufficient if a game warden checked her.

All you have to do, go anywhere they sell hunting license, give them your drivers lic.#, and they will print out your paper lic. with all your tags.

I'm in the same boat as you Cody. They've had my app for two weeks but still haven't processed and issued (beyond cancelling my old license). What to do, what to do ... I want to hunt this afternoon.

Have you called TPWD? I faxed mine on the 14th. After a couple of weeks, I called. They told me it was received and processed, but it would take 3 to 4 weeks to receive the card. She told me all I need to do now was go to any place that sells licenses, give them my DL# and they could print out my paper license with all my tags.

I overnighted my lifetime license on Thursday morning. The money was pulled out of my account Monday morning. Do y'all think I can go get a print out now or should I wait a few more days?
My tentative plans are to hunt this weekend if possible..

I just called tpwd to check the status of my lifetime license and my future husband's. They received the application on Friday but it still has not been processed. The lady on the phone told me it should be processed by next week, due to the overwhelming number of last minute applications. She told me that if I wanted to dove hunt before I receive my license in the mail I should go purchase a license for $32. I guess I'll have to wait because I'm not going to buy a license after I just paid $1,000.

Our game warden told me yesterday to carry the filled out application and recipt with me and all should be well. He said they were never told how to deal with this.

I still havent got my card in the mail either for mine, but went to Academy today and gave them my drivers license and they pulled it right up in the system and printed up my new license. Just like the super combo just didnt have to wait in line to pay.
Take Care, Bub

Like I previously said... I overnighted my lifetime combo on Thursday... They signed for it Friday morning a little after 7am. They pulled the money early Monday morning.
I called this morning to see if my license was active and it had been since Monday..
I'd stay on them if they're giving you the run around. The lady I spoke with a week ago said that they were trying to get everyone processed by 8/31.

There must have been a rush at the last minute because in July there was less than 10 days turnaround from the time you sent off the application to the time you received your paper license and plastic card. I would call TPWD and your local game warden and see what they have to say.

Mine was paid for at the end of last week. I got a letter today telling me to have license printed out at any retailer that sells licenses and my card would be mailed at a later date.
