Trying to locate a remington 700 .308 action. Hard time finding one in stock online and would prefer not to buy a complete rifle just for the action.

Let me know what you have.

I have a nice Rem 700 synthetic 7mm w/ Leopold 3-9x50. Best deer rife I've had in long time. A little too much for WT w/n 150 yards so I'm using my cricket .243. Shot placement and Barnes do the trick. I also have a Tika T3x in 30-06 w/ Vortex 6.5-20x44. But, the sweetest is this 1909 Argintine in 30-06 I picked up a few weeks ago at a gunshow. Really sweet piece of history and cool shooting open iron sights.

Let me know if you're interested in any of that. I know you want a .308 but the oldschool 30-06 has dropped a lot of deer in Texas.

Appreciate it. I'm building an 8.6 blackout and it requires a remington 700 .308 action.

dont have one but if it helps you can do anything in a short action that is based off the 308 case so bolt face and action are the same.

So you can expand your search to a 243, 7mm-08, 260Rem, 6.5creedmore, 338 Federal and 358 win,

Look into a custom action like a bighorn/zermatt arms tl3 or origin or defiance or any of the other brands. Much smoother action several have changeable boot heads and prefit barrels. Turn one action into several guns with just a barrel Vice and an action wrench. I have 3 tl3 and love them.
