Mikes Garden Shop has a lot of different ones already and they are really pretty. Decent price also Long term forecast looks favorable so I have my first 6 going in ground tomorrow

I don't plant tomatoes or peppers until early April. Record last freeze years ago wiped me out.

Wall-o-water works very well, allows you to plant several weeks early.

My Dad was a big fan of Walls of Water and I have used them to very good effect to get a jump start before average date of last frost, which here in Nolan County is around March 31.

I had some volunteer tomatoes that came up in November or there abouts. I put them in a pot and moved them inside during freezes. I noticed yesterday they are already putting on blooms. I'll leave them in the pot a little while longer in case of a sneaky cold front.

^ nice!
Late frost stunted mine last year, even though I had them covered. They grew, but hardly put on any fruit; normally I'm covered up in 'maters.

Heirloom variety tomatoes have always been our "go to" and we start planting in late April. We had a bunch of volunteer return last year.
