Be back in a few hours. Not expecting much as the bird numbers have really taken a crap lately. Just ready to get out and hunt again.

Post up your stories.

Well, it's hard to believe based on my scouting the last couple of weeks. I have seen very few birds and the ones I did see were resident birds and mostly singles.

I got to the plowed field at 6:45 and set up my mojo deeks about 20 yards in front of me. As I get back to my spot and start to remove the trusty 20 from it's case, I look up and a group of ten lands at the deek site. I think, thats about right, 10 minutes to shooting time and these will probably be the only birds I see.

Unfortnately I really do not have any food sources to hunt this year. Everything is plowed under. My set up was across the dirt road from a 30 acre sunflower field. I figured my deeks may lure a couple of flyers from that area as they headed in or out. Man, I can't say enough about the Mojo's. I almost feel guilty using them.

Now, it wasn't the best display of shooting today. It took 40 rounds to get 15 birds. I am not so sure about my choike selection or the loads I am using. I had a lot of wounded birds (hence the missing heads in the pics)

Anyhow, hope everyone else had a good time and plenty of birds.

And I thought this was fitting for the day!

Ya, a buddy of mine was telling me about that a couple weeks ago. I didn't remember the brand, but he said he got it at wall mart for $400 or so and now they are $1000. Must be the same gun you are talking about.
