My son wanted to buy his own shotgun, he’s been working hard and saving money. We went and handled a few not even knowing anything about the Weatherby. The Weatherby felt great and I was impressed at a great price point. So that’s what we got. Just got back from a goose hunt and it functioned flawlessly first trip out. I do recommend it if you are looking for a solid budget gun.

My nephew was checking them out, but he really wants a Benelli. I told him to hold out for the shotgun he wants.

He did have good things to say about the Weatherby.

Glad it is a great gun for your kiddo.

I have the Weatherby SA-08. I bought it 13 years ago. Its retired now but was a great gun. I still pull it out every now and then and shoulder it. Great gun.

I bought one after looking and reading all I could on them. I’ve only had it one season so I can’t sit and say it’s the bees knees but it ran great. 0 isssues. Breaks down easily. Good and light. I’m probably buying another next year.

my maxus is done. Im sending it back to browning and hoping they just send me a new one, since its also has the finish recall. In mean time I think that might be best budget option out. Image ill end up with one.

Bobo from what I gather if you and I can have a shotgun and not tear it up for two or three seasons it should go down as a very reliable gun.

Not true! Reliability theory shows that the variance of obtained data is simply the sum of the variance of true data plus the variance of errors of measurement. What does this mean? Bobo would need to hunt more than one time per duck season to get a true statistical result. roflmao roflmao

Now with that said, Boozer did own a Weatherby and duck hunt a many a season with me before he got to be such a big deal. I was impressed many a time that gun would still go BANG! grin

anyone can kill ducks over flooded corn and ice eaters, via hand made wetlands of death…. not just anyone can kill them over vegetation-less mud, from broke down 15 year old layouts blinds, with single shot auto’s and junked up barrel plugging Boss shells.

we need crane decoys FYI. literally had 300 circle us….. apparently we stuck out a little… they where flaring a little

I have two Weatherby SA-08's. 12 and a 20ga. Both have been very reliable over the last 10 years. I haven't checked out the Element but would assume it's of the same quality. Hopefully they changed the main stock spring to stainless. This will pay off if you hunt in the water primarily like I do. My original SBE from 92 had a steel spring and rusted so I replaced with a stainless which is standard now. The SA-08 were under $500 at the time and have been great.

Skillet. The element is an inertia driven shotgun. Lots of folks making one with benellis patent running out.
