As I get older my tolerance for the cold is definitely going down. Now seems to be a good time to upgrade since companies are clearing out their hunting clothes. What gloves have you worn that are warm and you would recommend?

These are on the expensive side but Kuiu has some great gloves, and they will keep you hands warm !!

+ rechargeable hand warmers. They're all about the same technology, about the size of a small, thick cellphone. Game changer. Keep one in each coat pocket and whatever gloves you have, you'll be good.

Yes sir, went with Bone View lithium battery handwarmers and socks this season and won't be going back to anything else. Game changers...

I've had Thermacell boot inserts for years, still work great. They're like a Dr. Scholls insert. On the coldest days I can set still for 6 hours, one pair of socks in rubber boots.

They aren't cheap, but I use the Sitka Stormfront GTX Glove in cold conditions. They're bulky, but keep my hands warm and dry. For milder hunting conditions, I have the Sitka Traverse Glove. For much milder conditions around home, I bought some $15 touch screen gloves on AMZN that are really comfortable w/ great dexterity.

I just got a pair of the gloves in yesterday. I am super impressed, though they do need a good breaking in.

I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t wear gloves much, if at all. I’ll throw a pair of Kuiu Strong fleece 220s if walking to and from the truck to the stand in Texas and that’s all I wear no matter the temps. I also use those 18 hour hand warmers in my pockets. I don’t need anything else.

If out West, or Alaska, I’ll put the same gloves on and warmers in my pocket. I’ll then put an insulated thicker glove in if it’s an extended hike or if it’s raining like the the Kuiu Yukon Pro or Kuiu Super Down Pro glassing glomitt. Otherwise I keep rolling with the Strong Fleece 220 and hand warmers.

Lol. On our elk hunt, two of the guys were decked out in Kuiu gear. One ended up borrowing my Cabelas glommits and said they kept him warmer than his highdollar Kooey Northstar gloves.

You use your Glommits, and I'll use my Kuiu

Get some merino glove liners and they will help a bit too.

I've got backup Cabela's gloves that my sons use....those pale in comparison to Kuiu or Sitka. I'll give you a story the exact opposite of yours. My buddy has Cabela's "waterproof" gloves that got wet in the snow and he borrowed my Sitka's and couldn't believe how warm and dry his hands stayed. I don't pay full price for anything Sitka or Kuiu, there are sales at the end of the season and before, but I recommend it.

ironically i have both. wooltimate and northstar.

two different monsters even though both are muffs. when really really cold hard to beat wooltimate but they seem to weight 5lbs a piece. size reference

BOBO how do each of those handle wet?

I picked up a hand warmer this year, camo on one side and blaze orange on the other side. It is really something, keeps your hands very warm.

Has a plug for a portable cell phone charger if you want to run electric heat. I just use it without, or drop a hit hands in there for some extra warmth if you need it.

The great thing about it is it is basically a pouch with a neck strap. So you can wear light gloves that are easier to shoot with, just pop your hands in the hand warmer and they stay warm and comfy in there.

I more often than not I will fall asleep with my hands in there. Just the cheap Walmart huntworth version. Something like this

I totally forgot about these type of handwarmers. I actually bought my girlfriend one a couple of years ago and she loves it.

I follow the same approach but just use a normal hand warmer. And if it's really cold, I have one of those small butane warmers that I put inside the hand warmer. Having the arms and hand warmer close to your body helps it stay warm as well.

I use liner gloves and kuiu when picking up or setting dekes.

If I’m wearing the Cabelas its probably to cold to stress about moisture

I have Kuiu Guide gloves and their Ultra Merino 210 liner. The combo works well for me. Your mileage may vary.

If you're gonna be dealing with wet, a pair of 6mm neoprene fishing/diving/wetsuit gloves can't be beat- and they're not very expensive either.

Used to use the old mil surp black leather gloves with wool inserts when I was ice fishing. Seemed to work well.
