Pretty certain this is a buck I’ve seen multiple times this season, was a real nice tall 7. What do y’all think happened to his antlers?! It doesn’t look like he shed them, but instead most of them were cutoff by a hacksaw or something.

Maybe he was hung up on another bucks antlers and a Good Samaritan freed him with a sawzall

He looks like a hypogonadism deer...we call them "stags"...no testicals or real small ones.

^^^Its hard to tell from that pic but something like the above would be a good guess. A low testosterone issue. Thats likely not these years horns and he never shed. I assume when you keep them multiple years there becomes a greater chance they break. Not really sure. Im sure STx will know.

Haven’t shot a buck, so don’t have any reference to size, but this is a screenshot from a video earlier in the season that I believe to be the same deer.

Browtines start way up the mainbeam on this photo and the one in first post appear to start much lower. Mass also does appear to be more on the first post. Any more pics of the buck in the first pic. May clear up things more and very well could be the same buck.

First two are the only other pics I have, but aren’t very close or clear. Third pic is the 2nd buck in a more similar position as the 1st buck.

i would say he broke off fighting, the ranch i hunt the bucks fight more than any ranch ive ever hunted ,i had a really nice 10, 20 inch probably in the 40s always close to the stand, the last time i saw him he looked just like that broke off both side just under the dogs and had really cut up ear

broken off or not he should be a dead deer IMO - cull all of the way
