We have been doing a lot trips to Big Bend Area (Alpine, Marathon & Fort Davis). On the way out there, we usually take Highway 90, from San Antonio to Alpine. So this has us looking for lunch spots between Hondo and Del Rio.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!!

Not sure if you are still looking for places but in Hondo Hermann Sons Steakhouse right off 90 as you enter town by Hwy 16. Hondough Pizza Company off 18th St/Ave M which is a block north of 90. I haven’t been to Heavy’s BBQ off 90 past Ave M on the left.
In Del Rio Manuel’s off 90 (Veterans Blvd) middle of town (wouldn’t recommend the steak it was thin cut), Blue Oasis also off 90 as you are leaving is on the left. And El Palenque Tacos and Grill off Veterans Blvd frontage and Miers Rd near the Whataburger.
Don't take life so seriously, you'll never make it out alive!

Stop at Country Mart in D'hanis and get the best parisa you will find
one of my buddies stops at the Oasis every time he goes though Uvalde on his way to Bracketville. A great outdoors store also.
