Polaris is making an all electric again.

Buddy had 4 or 5 of the original Polaris EV’s. Very quiet and got around good. But like most electric vehicles started having issues with battery life and range so they traded them off

Electric is where I land for me and my property. Battery problems can be fixed. Invest in a good lithium setup, maintain it as directed, and you'll have trouble free power. I won't need need miles and miles of juice, so I'd really like to scoop up a used Ranger Ev whose owner is fed up and frustrated and just wanting to get rid of it... "So they toss it and leave it, and I pull up quick to retrieve it..." smirk roflmao

P.S. I know of no "quiet" ICE UTV.

Quiet UTV? If you don't go electric, move this to the black panther thread.

I want nothing to do with an electric vehicle - have seen too many of them stranded out on the lease

Is your BIL local....I have a Mule FXT and often considered what it would take to convert to electric with lithium batteries.

I've got a 48v golf cart that I take to the stand and back, it's got a pickup bed on the back of it so I can throw firewood back there, 12 bags of corn to fill the feeder, tools, whatever. It's got it's limitations, but it's a great little machine for what it is. I leave it at the lease and carry my ATV out there for heavy work, but it does great around camp. It's a mile to my feeder, another mile back... and it'll do that trip twice a day just letting it charge overnight.

The battery tax sucks, no way around it. You'll be lucky to get 4-5 years before you need a new set, at roughly $1k a pop. Lithiums are coming way down in price, hopefully by the time I need a new set it'll be a feasible option.

As far as a gas motor machine, the Mule and the Defender are the quietest I've found, but they're nowhere near silent.

If you want quiet, a lifted golf cart is the way to go.

If you could just find away to put an actual suspension on a GC it would be alright

True but then they would be a lot more expensive. I just go slow on mine anyway so the bumps don’t bother me much. I got this one recently and it’s perfect for creeping around my ranch.

Yep. Love my electric buggy for hunting S Texas where I typically hunt, but it's a big hail no in rocky country like where we are now.

I test drove the Switchback hybrid. It rode really nice, suspension seemed really good.

I have a Bad Boy Ambush Hybrid, it’s great with the hybrid option, but rides pretty rough. The 2014 and newer have better suspensions, mine is a 2013. Downside is they went out of business so would have to get a used one.

I’d like to get a new Ranger EV, but don’t wanna spend $20k+ for a second buggy. I use my Pioneer the most and really only use the BadBoy during deer season riding to the stand or the occasional hog hunt.
