I had to fly sw to Birmingham last year, the times just worked best for me.

You have to pay more to stand in front of the line. It’s a pretty weird deal.

Fortunately when I traveled a lot my boss insisted on flying AA. I lived in Roanoke so that was fine by me. I have only flown SW once and hated it. I heard yesterday that a pilot on one flight had to turn back to the gate while taxiing to take off because he reached his flying limit.

Yep, pretty much all weather related. According to the news media....

SW did not have the ability to process or handle weather related delays.
Their reservation and scheduling systems are antiquated at best.
Their ability to communicate with passengers was nonexistent.
Passengers wanted their checked luggage back and SW had no way to return it to them.

We fly Southwest quite a bit never had a problem.

Southwest is always good by me....AA is complete garbage these days and I am Executive Platinum with those clowns.

SWA is way a head of most Airlines from technology stand point. Infact they are way head of most companies in general. Infact they have some of the best development talent in US

Flew AA to Nashville yesterday. It was a complete mess getting luggage.. about a 3 hour wait! The SW line(s) were insane though. Some people had already checked luggage that departed on earlier flights while their flight was cancelled. Lots of pissed off people

I have never understood this "cattle call" issue that everyone comes up with. You get a boarding number and stand in line in your spot, you only need to get there when it is your groups time. I have never been crowded, shoved or herded. I stand in line in my spot. I also stand in line at other airlines to board too.
Maybe it is the no seat assignment thing that bothers some.
I save a ton of money with Southwest. I will deal with no seat assignment for half the price for an hour or two flight.

Love SW. They have never lost my luggage, if they have delays they usually compensate you very well. I have had luggage lost with other airlines and one absolutely destroyed a $400 stroller that was a gift to us from family when my oldest was born. They told me it wasn't their fault and basically said F off. SW has never treated me that way.
