Just reminiscing and wondered;

Are there any hardware, feed stores or other retail businesses that still sell guns?

I remember when Sears, Penney's , Monty Ward, hardware stores, OTASCO, Western Auto etc. used to sell guns.

Other than Atwood's I can't think of any that still do.

Any one know of such a store?

Gebo's in Lubbock still stocks guns; in fact, in the last few years they've tripled the size of their inventory. They have a pretty good selection these days.

I remember seeing Smith & Wesson revolvers in the display case at the local drugstore and pharmacy back in the 60s. In my neck of the woods there is an Orscheln's that sells a few firearms and I've even seen Hodgdon powders on the shelf. There's a feed and supply outfit in Graham thar sells firearms. That's where I first saw the Sig P938...haven't been in Graham since we lost our Theockmorton lease five or six years ago.

I forgot all about Gibson's in Weatherford and Kerrville!

Both carry a pretty impressive selection.

Orschelins got bought out by TSC , a few of their stores that were already close to a TSC got bought by Baumguars. The one in Weatherford is in the process of transfering. Their FFL went through and they are selling guns again. I bet the ones that TSC got will stop selling guns unfortunately.

Talking about throckmorton made me remember, the feed store in archer city sells guns. They had quite a few for the size of the store.

J&N Feed in Graham has guns.

Here in Jacksboro we once had Gafford Auto Parts, Nash Hardware, Western Auto, and Montgomery Wards, they all sold guns. Nash is still here, but no guns after the owned died.

They sell guns also.....prices weren't bad. 270 and 7 mag is what I bought. $29.99 a box for Norma 130gr and 150 gr SP

Carquest in Devine does. Changed hands this year - and prices went up.

Ray’s Hardware, downtown Dallas, and they have quite the inventory.

They also have excellent (but not cheap or fast) gunsmiths.

Mumme’s Feed Store in Hondo, TX is a great gun store.
Great selection and competitive pricing.

Cajun in Texas

Fehner and Sons is a feed store in Gonzales that has a big gun selection and sells a few reloading supplies.

Gibbsons in Kerville

All are pretty cool stores to stop in if you’re ever in the area

Drugstore in DeLeon, Ace hardware in Brady.

DeLeon had 5 AR10s on sale for $799 but I couldn’t get there.

Mills County General Store in Goldthwaite has a small selection of guns and ammo.
