Shot this big old boar last night with 300 HAM'R 125gr Lehigh Defense Controlled Chaos from around 60yds DRT. Note, the rifle is 39" long for size comparison. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/12/full-65935-373539-20221211_214439_1612x1209.jpg)

Good Dead hog. Where did you hit him? Kinda looks like by the left ear:?

Good Dead hog. Where did you hit him? Kinda looks like by the left ear:? He was almost facing me, so quartering to me at a steep angle, shot him in the front of the neck.

That works out to be a bit over a 'pig a day'.....which definitely puts a dent in them. But more importantly (and the way I like to think of the killing of any hog) is the number of pigs a person prevents from ever being born with the elimination of a single pig/hog. When we consider the reproductive potential of a single pair of hogs over their lifetime (and those of their offspring) it represents no small number. Any Feral Hog killed attenuates future numbers even if it seems to have little effect on the current herd. Good Job!

Good shooting there Bill. A hog is happiest when it's in the freezer.
