Several time a week I go to a site that has live cameras all over the world. My favorite is a couple in Africa. Recently this big cat showed up during daylight and I grabbed a screen shot. Several days later he showed up after dark. During the daylight when he showed up I felt something was about to happen, the wildlife around a pond was getting very nervous acting, a few minutes later I spotted the cat.

Leopards are incredibly strong and that is a big Kitty! I always thought the Jaguar was the strongest or baddest pound for pound?

No, they (Jaguar) have the strongest 'BITE' of all cats. Leopard is physically strongest 'pound for pound'.

Jaguars also tend to 'kill' differently than the other big cats. The others usually try to bite the throat of their victims (or if smaller game...the soft underbelly). Jaguars will normally bite the back of the neck or head.

I've been watching this video site for over a year and had never seen this cat before, I guess he just took over this area. He came out a 3rd time at night but I didn't
get a screen shot of him. ( or her )

Tell me about it.

Not a Bobcat but just as bad. I 'tried' to help a lady get her 'pet' Ocelot back to her car one time.

1970's Austin, Texas. She had brought the Ocelot (a big male on a leash) to the boat races on Town Lake (now called Lady Bird Lake). Was walking it all around and garnering a lot of attention with it. All was fine until the boats actually started racing. Blown Fuel Hydro's make a LOT of noise.

Cat didn't like that and started pulling and struggling against the leash and collar. She couldn't hold it when trying to pick it up so I went over and offered to help.

Turns out I couldn't hold it either (without injuring it). Cat was declawed and not trying to bite, but just so MUCH stronger than you would think...and impossible to keep from wiggling out of your grasp.

We finally managed to get it far enough away from the noise (between the next pass) that the cat wanted to get the hell out of there and walked itself back to her car.

Can't imagine tussling with a Big Cat.

I watched a Leopard on TV a few years ago that killed an Impala doe and then hauled her up a tree about 15' to dine on. I would need a block and tackle to do that.
