It seems that in today's world of wokeness, a group that's widely ignored are those who are asexual, meaning they have no sexual attraction to members of either sex. I'm sure there are others like me who have known people who filled this bill, perhaps mostly by them never having been married. They may have had a boyfriend or girlfriend in the past, but it wasn't something that lasted very long. It's like the sexual attraction switch never got flipped in their mind. And I've probably know as many women who were asexual as I have men.

Maybe a lawsuit soon with someone wanting to marry themselves?

My wife has a cousin in her 50's who is asexual. Allegedly she was called upon by guys wanting to date her in high school, but she always said she was too busy to go on a date. She is really weird and has the same hair cut as I do.

My ex-wife has an Aunt that's the same way, very strange person and believes everyone is out to get her. She keeps herself locked up in her house all the time.

My wife is asexual. didn't find out till later in life.

I would think it would have something to do with hormone levels...or lack thereof, but I have no idea. I know we have some students that identify that way at the university, but whatever. I think in today's society, perhaps because porn and stuff are so readily available the mystery is gone? Maybe it's the lack of human interaction without an electronic medium? I don't know. To each their own, I guess

"Old maid" is a term that's been around for as long as I can remember for women. "Old bachelor" is probably the least offensive term I've heard for men, with "Old Fart" being far more common. But then, that's one that gets tagged on others as well.

Could be hormonal, or could be a person with "unnatural" tendencies that prefers not to give in to temptation.

Also hard to explain, but I know folks who were married, some had kids, and then turned gay. How the hell does that happen?

People may appear asexual but it’s really a result of mental illness. It could be for example a type of autism that affects how people relate to one another. They may not function like an average human being through no fault of their own.

Maybe their hormones didn’t function correctly during formative years?

This may have nothing to with being queer or wokeness.
