My wife finally decided the pull the trigger after giving the WT deer population a break for 9 years. She has passed up many trophy bucks but something about this scraggly 5 point cull just made her mad!  She actually shot him in order for my Grandpa who is in poor health this year to put some venison in the freezer. Thank goodness you didn't make her use the Savage 243  Just messing with ya...congrats, that one will eat wonderfully!

Thank goodness you didn't make her use the Savage 243 Just messing with ya...congrats, that one will eat wonderfully! I have shot many a deer with that old savage 243. We have since moved on, but its memory shall prevail....LOL

As you are aware....it is not possible for men to understand the female mind, what drives them to do (or not do) the things they do. It can change from day to day or even minute to minute in some cases. So just roll with it. Your huntress made a good shot, her smile suggests she is pleased with her accomplishment and Grandpa gets a full freezer. Can't see any down side to any of that. Congratulations! Thanks for sharing.
